In todays blog ill be looking at football boots,

Football is the most recognised sport around the world generating huge amounts of money each year between shirt sales ticket sales and mainly boot sales. Boots of the past were usually plain black or white leather by nike, puma or adidas. Nowadays boots are of all shapes and sizes and much more colourful and attractive to the eye,
Some may argue that the classic look is nicer and last longer and play better but thats up to personal opinion.
New brands like nike have started to introduce a sock to the top of the boots for "added comfort and more ankle support". The sock not only does this but it "magically" raises the price of the boot by about 100 euro.
Lots of football starts like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have set up their own boot line with nike or adidas Messis called F50 and Ronaldos called CR7, Ronaldos would be more famous due to nikes better standard boots.
Most footballers get a new pair of boots per game, A footballer played about 35 games a season for club that leaves 35 pairs of boots per game discluding training, This leaves 35 pairs of boots in trash going no where, But what some footballers have decided to to is donate them to charities to help out money wise this and some keep a lot of pairs for personal collection.

This weeks blog is on famous celebrities shoe wear,

No doubt that celebrities are trend setters, and some fans follow their all movements, this can help companies such as added and nike or even celebrities who set up their own clothesline.

celebrities like Snoop Dogg, Rita Ora and Pharrell Williams are sponsored by adidas to promote and sell their products. They often get shoes designed by themselves onto the market also.
                                                  Shoes designed by Pharrell Williams,

Other big celebrities will set up their own clothesline with their name on it and these clothes and shoes can sell up for huge amounts, examples of celebrities who set up clothing brands are...
-Rhianna,
-Justin Beiber,
-Kanye west.

Kanye west was very successful with his shoe line "yeezy" which became a huge trend that everyone wanted a pair of these shoes, He set them up with a limited amount of colours.
-pirate black,
-moonrock,
-oxford tan,
-turtle dove.
The shoes also sold for up to 2500 euro and second hand for about 400 euro, Even with these huge amounts of money they sold so quickly and became so popular that he brought out a second line called "yeezy boost"

This weeks blog is on the damage certain shoes can do to your feet,

Shoes are part of your everyday lifestyle now we take advantage of them and we never stop to think what does it don to our feet. I will start off with womens high heels, the everyday work shoes or going out for dinner with the mates they are definitely a very popular shoe amongst women. Studies from the spine health institute say these heels take a toll on your spine, hips, knees, ankles and feet.
In high heels womens chests are forced forward, their lower back is pushed forward (taking hips and spine out of alignment), theres more weight put on your knees and increase pressure on the balls of your feet.

Flat shoes are on everyones shoe racks, But what do they do to your feet?
According to Mike O'Neill a spokesman for the Society of Chiropodists flat shoes can "strain the achilles tendon that runs from the back of the heel and also the calf muscles in the back of the leg".
It has no shock absorbency which can lead to a heel condition called plantar faciitis which causes the cartilage in your foot to harden and swell.

In todays blog I will show you a certain type of material many shoes are made from, I will be talking about suede, what is suede? well suede is the underside of the skin of animals like lamb, goat, calf and deer. suede is most commonly used on pairs of shoes designed to look nice eg. for work or fancy dress.
suede can be identified by its soft feel and its ability to absorb water stains and wash off easily. The soft feel comes from the underside of the skin being rubbed up to feel quite like velvet. wearing suede was considered a luxury but quite recently more common brands have started to add suede to some of their types of shoes.

The top pair are a classic pair of adidas shoes called stan smiths and after recent popularity with suede becoming a new style they adapted this to the original idea to create what is seen in the bottom picture. Other more popular brands are doing the same eg. nike, reebok and asics.

There is one downside to suede in  my opinion and that is due to its fancy look and how its a little rarer and harder to male it will usually up the cost of the certain pair of shoes compared to their normal pair.

Hi in this weeks blog ill go though the daily/weekly wear of shoes, how far you travel in your shoes on average and how far this could take you.

Themirror.co.uk did a study and from that they were able to get an average for how many pairs of shoes a woman has. this said that on average women own 21 pairs of shoes including nine pairs they never wear and five that will only be worn once,

And according to www.newdream.org men own an average of 12 pairs of shoes and one pair will be frequently used a lot more just for casual comfort wear.

On average people take 10000 steps a day which is 70000 steps a week or 50000 in a working week, the average man or woman will have one specific pair of shoes for school or work this means that this one pair will be taking up to 50000 steps in the working week. most of these "shoes" will have leather top and rubber bottom.

Its estimated these shoes wear out after 500 miles of walking in them, the average step is 2000 steps per mile therefor in 500 miles there is 1000000 steps or one million steps per shoe which means that it would take 100 days to wear out a pair of shoes. walking these out all 500 miles would be the equivalent as walking to walking from Dublin to Belgium.
